Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to twenty-one than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers wager against the bank instead of each other. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is no bluffing or other kinds of deceptiveness.In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up before the dealer announcing "No more wagers." At that moment, both you and the bank and of course all of the other players attain 5 cards each. Once you have seen your hand and the bank’s first card, you need to either make a call bet or surrender. The call bet’s amount is akin to your original bet, meaning that the risks will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your wager goes immediately to the dealer. After the bet is the conclusion. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or better, your bet is given back, with an sum equal to the original bet. If the dealer does have ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand defeats the dealer’s hand. The house pays cash equal to your bet and set odds on your call wager. These odds are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for two pairs
- three to one for three of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- 20-1 for a four of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
