Poker Aces – the right way to play them

[ English ]

Poker Aces references two aces being dealt before theflop. It’s the best attainable pre-flop hand inhold’em Poker. But despite this a great many bettors end up on the losing end when dealt this hand.

When you’re given a set of Aces, you just don’t drop out pre-flop. You are positioned with the greatest achievable hand at this part of the round. So how do you wager with Poker Aces ? Do you simply go all-in? I would say definitely no to that.

Remember, you are trying to generate as much money from this strong position. You want to maximise the possibility. Going all-in will basically scare most competitors into folding before placing a bet.

If you’re in the early seat (1st or second to place a bet), you’ll place a single wager. Any person with a good hand will call, with hope a player might raise. If someone has made a raise don’t jump to re-raise or call, wait for a small bit – make them think you’re considering your options and then call.

Following the flop your plan will be to eliminate anybody that could get a straight or a flush. So I would begin to raise boldly, if you are lucky you’ll trick 1 player into believing that you’re tricking.

If you’re in the center or late spot (one of the last to place a bet) you will watch as everybody calls and then raise. Even with you sitting with a pair of aces, if you can try to abstain from a show-down. Protect your hand by making the other players drop out after the flop. If you do not force out your opponents you chance squandering your hand.
