Have you seen the new PokerPro holdem poker tables? The first time I saw the PokerPro tables was about a couple of weeks back when I took a short getaway with my parents to the WinStar Gambling den in Oklahoma.
As I anxiously waited for my turn to be acknowledged at the live tables, I watched how the other people at the PokerPro tables relate with one another. It was fairly intriguing to say the very least. Because the poker table was computer controlled, there have been no clay poker chips to do any chip hints, no cards to shuffle and the actual live encounter was boring. Perhaps I was the only one that noticed this, except I did notice the players in the table had a lifeless high quality to them. The cause of this may be because there was no human interaction with the croupier, the ambiance was relatively dull and the gamblers looked uninterested. It was almost as if I was seeing a live variant of a web based texas hold’em poker room instead of sitting with hot blooded humans. It was a little freaky and I kept flashing back to an episode of Star trek and the holodeck malfunctioned.
Since the waiting time for the stay tables for more than an hour, I made the decision to see how the casino game play was and to understanding this new holdem poker gaming technology. Right after playing a few hands, I definitely felt like I was betting at residence. The lack of activity in the table was the main reason. I like to stack and shuffle my chips, and mix my cards around. None of those things are feasible at these electronic tables.
Another thing I observed was how the computer dealt the flop, turn and river cards. I bet a lot of hands on the PokerPro table and discovered that the play was a great deal like an internet based texas hold’em poker website. That could have been just a coincidence, except I found it to become really odd.
Following betting a few rounds with this "unique holdem poker technology", I determined that the PokerPro tables have been not for me. I’m far better off betting texas holdem poker on the net at house and not travel the distance. If WinStar Betting house were to have rid of the reside poker tables, I think they’d loose a lot of gamblers.
