Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the normal 52-card common deck and one joker. The gambler is dealt seven cards face up and the house gets 7 cards face down.
A five card hand and one two card hand need to be made from the seven cards, the five card hand has to be higher than the two card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be better than the casino’s.
