Web poker has become globally famous as of late, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back in fact a bit farther than its television ratings. Over the years numerous types on the original poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with vingt-et-un than old guard poker, in that the gamblers wager against the house instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is no bluffing or different kinds of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up before the dealer declares "No more bets." At that point, both you and the house and of course every one of the other players receive 5 cards. After you have observed your hand and the bank’s initial card, you have to either make a call bet or surrender. The call bet’s amount is akin to your beginning bet, which means that the stakes will have doubled. Giving Up means that your ante goes immediately to the casino. After the bet is the conclusion. If the house does not have ace/king or greater, your wager is given back, including a sum in accordance with the ante. If the casino does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand is greater than the bank’s hand. The bank pays money equal to your bet and controlled expectations on your call bet. These odds are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for 2 pairs
- 3-1 for three of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
